Preparations allowed as General Sale List

Find out about preparations which may be reclassified as General Sale List medicines.

Overview

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance public access to safe and effective treatments, we have completed the review of a list of preparations which may be reclassified as General Sale List (GSL) medicines.

These medicines must meet the specified conditions on indications, dosage form and strength, and the product must be presented in appropriate consumer packs. They must also be accompanied by adequate patient information to ensure correct use by the general public.

Interested product registrants with medicines which fulfil the conditions in the table below are invited to submit a "me-too" reclassification application (MAV-2) to us to reclassify your product. The forensic classification of your product does not change unless your reclassification application has been reviewed and approved by us.
