New high quality injection needles in ranibizumab (Lucentis®) injection administration packs

Novartis, in consultation with the Health Sciences Authority, would like to update healthcare professionals that the earlier issue of blocked Becton-Dickinson (BD) Microlance 3 injection needles (contained within the Lucentis® injection administration pack) has now been resolved and that new BD injection needles are now available. All Lucentis® packs packaged after 21 February will contain needles that have not been impacted by the issue in the BD production facility. The use of the injection needle contained in the Lucentis® injection administration packs starting with lot numbers S0057 can now be resumed.
