A Dear Healthcare Professional Letter has been issued by Ferring Pharmaceuticals to inform healthcare professionals of the potential risk of arrhythmia and reproductive toxicity from exposure to the excipient chlorobutanol that is found in Minurin 0.1 mg/ml nasal spray. Healthcare professionals are advised that Minurin 0.1 mg/ml nasal spray, solution should only be considered in situations when alternative desmopressin formulations are unsuitable for use, and no alternative without chlorobutanol is available in order to avoid potential detrimental effects following exposure to chlorobutanol.
